Kreator es un grupo de thrash metal formado en 1982 en Essen, Alemania. Estos muchachos estaban muy influenciados por grupos como Metallica, Slayer, Venom, Mercyful Fate, Bathory. Kreator, junto a sus compatriotas Destruction y Sodom, son considerados los tres reyes teutónicos del thrash metal, y estos 3 junto a Tankard, los Cuatro grandes del thrash metal europeo.
